Hint: when you return an item to the warehouse that was purchased online, you get the shipping cost back, too.

Cut the box in many small pieces such that it will fit in your car?

You're looking at the Roland HP 702 equivalent, I take it?

My 704 came in 3 boxes:

        1. The bench (flat and small-ish box)
        2. The base - also flat but bigger, about 30" by 60"
        3. The actual piano - about 60" by 20" by 24"

When I bought my Kawai, back in 2008 (?), it was also in 3 boxes. I was able to get all of it into my 2006 Audi A4 with the rear seat folded down.

It occurred to me that I could order online, have it delivered, go to the warehouse, purchase from the floor, take it to the returns desk, and return it as the online purchase and get the shipping back. That would be dishonest. But it’s a nice puzzly sort of solution.

You could buy 60 hot dog and soda combos with that saved money!

It’s a Roland FP 10 rebranded and bundled for Costco. I think the voice selection might be slightly different than the standard FP 10. I plan to use it with Pianoteq and headphones, assuming the lag isn’t noticeable. This guy gets some beautiful results with his:

The bundle with a nice pair of headphones and bench and furniture stand is 550. Can’t beat that.

It’s one big box for the bundle. It didn’t fit. I already tried. I didn’t want to go to the trouble of unboxing it in the parking lot or strapping it to the roof, but both would probably work.

You live in Texas. You have a house. You need a truck.

Besides, you're a tall fellow. You'd find it very comfortable.

You can rent a 1/2 ton cargo van for an hour and half for $20 plus gas from your local Home Depot.

When trying to claw back $90, every pizza, or van from Home Depot, counts.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

The lunch in this case being a pizza.

                                    Or a piano.
