      One of the things I love about living here is the wildlife - in particular the birds of prey soaring overhead.

      You never saw this stuff back home. Driving my daughter to college in Massachusetts a few weeks back I saw a black bear on somebody's front lawn - it might be commonplace in some parts, but round here that just blew me away.

        Growing up, I'd see them every fall. That's when they most like going dumpster-diving.
