Mike comes from the 4th Congressional District. That's Shreveport and West Louisiana. 61% vote for Trump, both races.
Mike may be more conservative than Jordan. Certainly, a lot more than McCarthy. He's not a media hog and if he succeeds, it will be behind the scenes.

It’s not even appropriate to call her a colleague. She has no vote.
A normal member’s legislative assistant has more power.

I may be wrong, but I think she's been called the "ranking member" in committee meetings.
She served as a manager during the Trump impeachment.
If she can't vote and has no power, why is she even there other than to tick some checkboxes? Her insightful questioning of Taibbi and Schellenberger was an embarrassment.
