Stanley Zhong, 18, is a 2023 graduate of Gunn High School in Palo Alto.

Despite earning 3.97 unweighted and 4.42 weighted GPA, scoring 1590 out of 1600 on the SATs and launching his own e-signing startup RabbitSign in sophomore year, he was rejected by 16 out of the 18 colleges he applied to.

But Zhong was recently hired by Google.

I hope he doesn’t pull a Damore stunt like writing an internal memo about the differences in admission standards across races.

      Education is extremely important.

The fact that an Asian kid with exceptionally high test scores and academic achievement wasn't accepted at Harvard et al shouldn't be news. It's a well-known story repeated year after year.

        Good luck at Google, Stan.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

His safety school was probably CalTech.

With a first and last name like that, he’s dripping with white and asian privilege!

Yes, for example he almost certainly had the privilege of getting rejected from universities on account his ethnicity.
