What about the hostages?
-
Random thoughts…
As the screws tighten due to the blockade, what happens to the hostages? It’s hard to imagine them getting fed well when the population is starving. What will be the Israeli public reaction to a kidnapped child crying about their hunger on social media?
I wonder if the US and/or Israel has spy satellite footage that shows where the hostages are? I would think at least in some cases they do. When do rescue attempts start?
Any chance Hamas negotiates the release of the EU citizens and maybe some other nationalities (eg the Chinese) sooner rather than later?

Where does rescuing the hostages fall in terms of priority? Is that the first priority? Or is preventing future attacks the primary priority?

Israel laid the water pipes into Gaza. Thousand and thousands of miles of pipe. https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-lays-fourth-largest-yet-water-pipeline-to-gaza/
Hamas dug up much of it to build rockets…
Link to videoThey would rather their own people not have adequate water in order to make weapons to kill Jews. Do you honestly believe that the hostages will fare well even if food and supplies are coming in? For that matter, do you think the supplies will even go to the people? Or will it go to those oh so brave Hamas Freedom Fighters to stay strong for the fight?

Of course I don’t think the hostages will fare well. I’m speculating on the specific ways their captors will extract propaganda value from them.

Hamas militants have vowed to broadcast their executions of Israeli hostages on the internet. Recent history shows there's virtually nothing tech companies can do to prevent that from happening.
