There is a solution. At least in some part.

I think they want to eliminate Hamas, not commit genocide on 2MM people including a million children.

    Only non-witches get due process.

Yes, but how do they do that without significant collateral damage?

I've read that half the population of Gaza is under age 17.

Seriously, if the problem could be solved by eradicating them, all the way down to the beasts in the field, I'd flick the switch. Israel can invade, they can kill thousands, they can turn the majority of buildings into rubble.

                It won't fix this problem.

I haven’t been online much as I’m travelin with work, but I’m very relieved you’re unhurt. I hope you and your family can stay safe - I’ve been thinking of you throughout this awful tragedy.

The OT is part of the Bible. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to break it. While we do live in an Age of Grace, that doesn't mean that the God of the OT is not the God of the NT. There is more than one instance in the OT where God has allowed the Jews to kill their enemies, even unto the beasts of the field.

Might want to spend a little time reading the Bible.

OT God also found it necessary to see the Kingdom of Israel broken and scattered with many taken into slavery on more than one occasion. So I’m going to cast my eyes to the NT, for direction.

Because they did not obey His Will.

What did God tell the Israelites to do to the Canaanites?

Or given a more pertinent illustration to the current invasion of Israel...Just after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea, they were attacked by the Amalekites.

Exodus 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

Later on, Moses tell the Israelites to wipe them out.

God is Merciful. God is Love. God can also deliver terrible Judgement, if so warranted.

So is this one of the times that they are to follow God’s command by smiting and destroying their enemies? Or is this one of the times they are supposed to be broken and scattered for not following God’s command? Or are they supposed to turn the other cheek? I’m confused.

I'm not. Who has turned their eyes from God? Who has done wicked deeds? Who has attacked the Chosen?

There is no religious or moral discussion about what is essentially right or what is wrong. This is a just war on Israel's part. The discussion takes place on how severe the response should be.

There are times when even Jesus said to go buy a sword.

Well, so much for this thread.

I think the Pope should call a Crusade…for old time’s sake.
