    To attract more childcare workers, Kentucky allow the children of childcare workers to get childcare for free. And that it's working.

    I always thought that's a good idea that's already been practiced by some private facilities. Kentucky is making this statewide.

      To be clear, Kentucky is using taxpayer dollars for it. It's not just a policy change, it's a budget line item.

      Also to be clear, the child care worker shortage is very real. Margins are razor thin, there are teacher-to-child ratio requirements which make it very hard to pay employees while also increasing costs to parents.

      Also to be clear, I say to be clear too often. Clearly.
