Shooting in Bangkok Shopping Mall

Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy who went on a shooting rampage inside Siam Paragon shopping mall, killing two people and injuring five others — two of them critically — on Tuesday afternoon.
The teenager was brought to the Pathumwan police station for questioning but he was in a confused state, saying he had heard voices telling him to shoot people, according to Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol, the national police chief.
The Siam Paragon Mall is a pretty high class mall on Sukhumvit Road, which is the main shopping road in BKK, kind of like Rodeo Drive in LA or Michigan Ave. in Chicago

I read he was inspired by the 1999 Columbine shooters, so he was wearing a similar outfit and USA hat. His parents also said he had mental issues. Really? A teenager shooting people in a mall has mental issues?
@89th I had not seen that about Columbine.
The news here says that he used a gun that normally shoots blanks (like at a track meet) but modified to shoot real bullets.
