I dislike that people cannot take responsibility for themself.

No, no, and no to all three examples.

It is because you are stupid, dumb, corrupt, or did something wrong. Probably all of those.

For once, I would like to see someone who had a problem stand up and say, "Yeah, this happened because of me. No one else to blame."

This is not his first indictment. The first time there was a hung jury, iirc.

Also, he's been under ethics investigations for a long time. I want to say 2008, but I may be wrong on that.

Federal agents found more than $480,000 in cash during a search of the couple's home in June 2022, "much of it stuffed into envelopes and hidden in clothing, closets, and a safe," as well as over $70,000 in a safe deposit box belonging to Nadine Menendez. They also found gold bars worth more than $100,000, according to the indictment.

Envelopes of cash were allegedly found in jackets with Menendez's name that were hanging in his closet. Prosecutors included photos of some of the cash and two of the gold bars they say were seized:

Speaker McCarthy wants Sen. Menendez to resign until, well, that means that maybe Rep. Santos should resign also. Suddenly, speaker McCarthy thinks that Sen. Menendez should have have his day in court. LOL

McCarthy immediately flip-flopped.

Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., was hit with new charges Thursday accusing him of accepting bribes to behalf of a foreign government and acting as foreign agent, according to a superseding indictment.

The new indictment, filed by a federal grand jury in Manhattan, alleges Menendez, “provided sensitive U.S. Government information and took other steps that secretly aided the Government of Egypt.”

Menendez and his wife, Nadine, last month pleaded not guilty to corruption charges alleging that he and his wife used his influence to pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes.
