      Too late. What's the alternative?

If Biden drops out - who's there to take his place, Harris?
Newsom has already said he's not interested - yet.
RFK? Despite all the press, he's a nonstarter when it comes to the primaries.

Biden will run a shadow campaign, answering as few hard questions as possible while trying to remain appear coherent. If he wins, it'll be the same people who are in charge now, feeding him policy.

The odds of a major gaffe during the debates is growing quickly. Either Joe will fall asleep, trip, or look so confused he might have his mic cut. I love it. 🙂

Anyway, I'd imagine the dem strategy is to somehow get Biden elected and then accept that he'll resign and put Kamala in power.

A curveball would be Hillary running again. I think she'd win against Trump.

He can't hide in his basement for 24. I suspect the replacement has already been picked and it isn't Kammy.

It's pretty obvious, if she wants it.

I think that President Biden will continue to deteriorate and IF he is still the candidate next summer, there will be some excuse not to debate.

"Just like President Trump Republic primary, we are so far ahead that we see not benefit in debating."

Joe Biden will be the nominee until the Convention. Then he will announce his retirement at the end of the term and the delegates will need to vote on a replacement. As the delegates at the Convention will be Joe’s, they will vote for his recommendation. Since the Convention is at the end of August, this gives the RNC only 2 months to campaign against the successor.

It also gives them time to see exactly what is happening with the Trump criminal trials and they will know absolutely for sure who the Republican nominee will be and can select the candidate they feel would be best suited to go up against the actual nominee…

I think it will result in a DNC civil war once November is over, though.

The only Democratic candidate over the past few years who could generate the kind of enthusiasm as DJT was Bernie. It's fun to imagine an 83 year Bernie running against a youthful 78 year old DJT.

In 2016 the name on the ballot for the Democrat Nominee could have been Not Trump, D and the results would have been nearly identical.

Biden’s job is that of CEO of the most powerful country in the world, the leader of the free world, not the chairman emeritus: it is a complex and responsible managerial and executive role, and not just because his hands are hovering over the nuclear button. We all have an interest in the role being exercised by a competent president.

You know, that's actually pretty smart.

Too smart. I wish they'd do it, but they won't.
