The culture wars from the left's perspective are all about sneering at the conservative side. This is what happens when an entire mainstream culture is so convinced of their righteousness, that they think nothing of convincing kids to lie to their parents, just in case their parents are one of those people.
The sneering does need to stop. No group of people has a monopoly on intelligence or wisdom or virtue.
