What’s your next move w/ black?

I don’t play much either. But I’m great at international standards and measurements

Doesn’t white answering Knight to H2 stop the mate?

@Doctor-Phibes I think Rf2 would accomplish the same thing but if the knight moves to h2 the queen would capture and mate

No, because the King can then take the black queen.
-
The obvious answer is to simply demand the racist homophobe white king surrender in the name of equity. You are a black queen, after all…

@LuFins-Dad no I think the knight has that square covered

The white knight blocks the queen at H2. She can’t get to H1. If she takes the knight at H2, it’s check but then she’s taken by the K at H2, safe from the knight.

@Klaus said in What’s your next move w/ black?:
Knight to f2, then mate in the next round with Queen h1.
Seems like this should work. Maybe there's a catch.

What fucking knight is going to F2???

There's exactly one thing he could reasonably mean.

+1 Black Rook protects the Knight.

But the white knight will block the black queen from putting white into checkmate.

So then translate it into standard chess coordinates because I’m seriously confused
The board’s upside down. F2 is white’s KB2 in the old notation
-
B-e3 wins. White has to give up the Queen. If Rxe3, then Q-h1 followed by Rxf1 mate.
I looked up the actual game online because I'm a saddo, and black actually played R-f2, which wasn't the best move, but black won anyway after white blundered with n-d3
-
@Mik said in What’s your next move w/ black?:
Either Knight to Rook 2 or Bishop to King 3
Bishop to King 3 would have resulted in a slaughter…
-
Presumably you two mean Bishop to King 6?
It's bad enough that you're using this antiquated system, but you're doing it wrong too!
