                There is no difference between that behavior and the behavior of a legit crazy person. The only way you can assume the person is not crazy is because you know he is parroting the ideas of the mob.

                  Reasonable chance his parents are progressives and thus proud. (Somehow it seems more likely that he has a progressive mother rather than father, though it could be both.) It's his parents' generation who were likely to have been rebelling against a larger culture. His generation are the squares, conforming with the progressives. Consider Greta Thunberg and her parents.
