I didn't like the discongugate gaze I think I saw - each eye looking in a slightly different direction. It could be an artifact of the video, but the wannabe neurologist in me raised his hand.
Another possibility is a petit-man seizure - unlikely in a man his age, however.

From what I read he didn’t walk away so much as get led away by GOP leadership.
Frankly I would support mandatory retirement from all politics at 70. That includes SCOTUS.

We can argue about
priceage, but I agree with the fundamental concept. Gonna take a Constitutional amendment, right? That's a steep hill. One of the surgeons I worked with had a husband who flew United Airlines. They had a mandatory retirement age (62?). IIRC, the union fought against, and won, that rule.
One of the reasons I left the university was because of the policy where one can't be chairman past age 65. The chair at the time was a great guy who understood the value of things beyond just publishing papers. He was 63. With my pathetically short list of pubs, I was concerned that the next guy wouldn't value my skills, so I jumped at an opportunity to leave.

Can someone tell me why no one called an ambulance immediately???

Optics, as Barry would say.

My dad had an ischemic attack at about that age. I wouldn't have been happy with him shopping alone after that, much less running a country.

I assume that there is a doctor on-call in the Capitol.
I believe Congress has more than one doctor as members, not counting Doctor Jill.
-
U don’t need a doctor. What can a doctor do in the capitol except maybe give an aspirin. U need an ambulance to get to a hospital. Then there is a chance at revascularization with tPA. I find it hard to understand why 911 wasn’t called and him taken for a CT.
Btw u may recall the bibi recently had a blackout and was rushed to my hospital and ended up with a pacemaker because of heart block.

Marsha BlackburnThat's 33 in the Senate right now, with another 20 that will be over 70 before their next reelection. Good luck getting 2/3rds. I think the House is even worse...

It's nice to see them getting out and about.
Maybe they could create a pretend Senate like they do at Elementary School, and they could all attend and do voting and speeches and stuff.
