@Horace said in "The Commitment Made":

    Jesus.

Yes, he made much such the same sort of comments about his father who interestingly enough also failed to show up at the critical moment.

I don't really know anything about anything but my first gut reaction when reading that text was "that's a weird font" and my second gut reaction was "He says his father is next to him, which really means he is not".

He sure comes across as an asshole. "My ability to forever hold a grudge..."

          What a tool.

            Commitment fulfilled.

A bank account linked to President Biden's son Hunter Biden received more than $5 million in August 2017, shortly after his threatening messages — in which he said he was "sitting here" with his father — to a Chinese associate revealed this week by an IRS whistleblower, according to documents released by congressional investigators.

On Aug. 4, 2017, Chinese firm CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $100,000 to Hunter Biden’s law firm Owasco, according to a 2020 report published by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Then, days later on Aug. 8, 2017, CEFC Infrastructure Investment sent $5 million to Hudson West III, a firm Hunter Biden opened with Chinese associates.

The two transactions totaling $5.1 million came within 10 days of messages uncovered Thursday by the House Ways and Means Committee. In the messages — shared to the panel via IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley Jr., who oversaw the agency's probe into Hunter Biden — Hunter Biden blasted business partner Henry Zhao for not fulfilling his "commitment" and said his father was with him.

One does not spend 5.1 million dollars without expecting something tangible in return. Let's see if the left can cover up whatever it was.

Occam's razor: Would anyone, for any reason whatsoever, give Hunter Biden $5M? What does he bring to the table, other than his name?

Now that CNN and NYT are reporting the story it's becoming clear that the Democrats want Joe Biden to step down from his candidacy - probably late this year, or early next year.

And that opens the path for Governor Hairgel.

What is it with American politicians and haircuts?

Really, you'd be so much better off going au naturel

Newsom’s just another white guy running a nearly failed state. Bring him on. Any Republican can beat him.

Makes no sense. Why would the child's questionable dealings disqualify the parent from public office? You have to at least show that the parent is actively involved, either in the child's questionable dealings or in obstructing the investigation thereof. Neither has been established.

Not sure what definition you use for "nearly failed state," but presumably you could have said the same for Reagan.
