He's certainly accurate about the flawed, weak, manipulable psyches of normal humans. That is well established and no serious observer of humanity and culture, denies it. But it's not top of mind for 99% of us, even though it always should be, because it doesn't make us feel better about ourselves. For a cultural idea to take hold, it needs to make you feel better about yourself. So that one supremely important factual idea, becomes a non-idea.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's right that this trans stuff with invasive surgeries on children, marks an historic zenith of crazy. I believe western culture is primed for such history.
