    So what medals is he wearing? I think he was awarded 3 Purple Hearts a Bronze Star and a Silver Star.

    Also, is it appropriate for a civilian to wear his medals at a non-military function?

          It's a Brit thing.

                On the channel I watched Mr Kerry was identified and simply described as a one time runner for president. That was it.
                I did wonder why he was invited.
