Another NSFW clip (a terrific show... Silicon Valley), but your comment above Phibes reminds me of, well:
again NSFW language

Will they have the female dummy in the driver's seat of a vehicle sitting at a green light but they don't see it because they are applying makeup and then gets rearended?

Don't forget having a few drinks between those two actions... HI OH!!!!!

Googling a bit it does seem women are much more likely to get injured than men conditional on being in an accident. It’s worth learning why that is (it may be known too I just haven’t googled that much) and if there’s a way to make it better (as opposed to more equitable) then yeah go
I would have thought it was bloody obvious that they should model different body types with crash test dummies. They have kids modeled, why not women?
It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to model obese people, really tall people, etc. too.

That is true, one study resulted in the recommendation that obese people have extra airbags attached around their entire body so as to provide more cushioning. Then they realized... problem solved.

Whenever I ride in a coach, I wonder whether they've done crash tests featuring 50 people not wearing any seatbelts getting thrown forward simultaneously at 50 mph.

Right that’s how things always used to work. It also used to be that public health officials didn’t recommend courses of action that killed more rather than fewer people as long as the phenotypic mix was was more to their liking. But here we are.
I feel we've also crossed a line when the President of the United States called his own senior health advisors 'idiots' as part of a losing re-election campaign, right in the middle of a pandemic that is killing millions, and which he had repeatedly tried to play down the seriousness of.

Wait, you mean the same advisors that gave us “15 Days to Flatten the Curve”, “6’ Social Distancing, Don’t Mask - Mask If You Want - For God’s Sake, put on a mask! - Oh, the masks didn’t make much of a difference, Shut Down The Schools (and ignore the open schools in Europe that are showing no adverse effect from opening!), told us our 5 year olds were at significant risk if they didn’t get the jab…
Those senior health experts?

The same health experts that went on a huge publicity campaign to not take
safe and somewhat innocuous malaria medicinehorse dewormer, and never once said “ Lose 10-15 pounds and take some vitamin D”? Are those the ones you think shouldn’t be called idiots? -
Or are you talking about the ones that downplayed natural immunity? The same ones that kept quiet while the media kept saying the vaccines would prevent vaccine even though they knew better, but conducted a Holy War against anybody that mentioned they took the Malarial medicine?
-
Sure.
You keep taking the de-wormer. Maybe swallow a UV light while you're at it.
If you think Fauci and Birx were the idiots in the room while Trump was speaking, I honestly don't know what to say.

Nice to see that the Biden administration's secretary of transportation acknowledges that there are actually biologic differences between men and women, even if others in the administration can't define it.

I don't think anyone can honestly say in hindsight that we did not overreact. Perhaps not in the initial steps, but in how long they continued.

I think we need to do a thorough post-mortem on our response, taking a look at what worked and what didn't, relegating our conclusions to only those that are supported by medical science, data and typical human behavior.
We have not done so.
