DACA Dollars

What's a few billion dollars?...

What's a few billion dollars?...
In this case it's good policy making good investments in a significant chunk of youthful human resource for the American economy and the American communities. The sooner we integrate and accept the DACA dreamers as Americans, the better.

Yes, the way to have an honest and law-abiding citizenry is to subsidize the law-breakers.
And what happens when you subsidize something? You get more of it. We need more illegal immigrants, right?

DACA dreamers are victims brought over as children by other adults who broke the law.

This proposed policy subsidizes victims. If you think subsidizing victims create more of them and you don't want "more victims," you might as well outlaw disaster relief programs and most charities.

With a fertility rate well below replacement rate, we need more legal immigrants. Reduce the red tapes for legal immigrants to come here is one way to achieve that. Another way is to make legal the "illegal" immigrants who got brought here as children by other adults through no fault of their own -- that's what DACA does.

You know what, scooter?
Life ain't fair. And man is not perfect.
The only way to have a functioning society, is to have fair laws, reasonably enforced to try to create equal justice under those laws. People who break laws should be treated with a modicum of compassion, but break the law they did.
Therefore, should they be rewarded or penalized?
The only logical thing to do, is to penalize them in some way, not reward them, which is what you desire to do. And then you wish to double down and increase the number of people entering the country illegally.
Newsflash, scooter...Those illegals are sucking resources. Money that either should never have been spent or money that should be spent on citizens. Schools, healthcare, infrastructure, etc., all cost more than they should, factoring in the illegals.
-
And who are the people broaching our borders? Do we have herds of engineers, doctors, accountants, and other trained people wading the Rio Grande?
Show me how illegals make our economy better?
Show me why we should be one of the few nations on earth without secure borders? Is not a nation without borders not a nation? Or is the ultimate destruction of our society the ultimate goal of people who support illegal immigration?
