With 3 of them, you can make a 3-sided compost pile holder. You can break them down and use for small projects. Or cut them with a skilsaw and use the shorter boards for projects.

    Etc, etc.,...

What use do you have for the wood? If nothing, trash them.

But… you could always burn them.

Have you considered leaving them in a corner for ages in case they come in handy until one days someday realises they've become so disgusting, along with all the other crap that's accumulated that you need to rent a dumpster?

          I was only joking

If you have a neighborhood forum (facebook group, whatever) you could post to see if anyone else wants them? That's what I did and someone scooped it up immediately. Plus ours had nails that were difficult, so removing, burning, etc... not fun.

My wife is a "we could use this somehow, someday" person whereas I'm a "get rid of it immediately, we can buy one in the future if we really need something" person.

Oh yes… I love my wife, but she is a pack rat. She refuses to let anything go if it may be useful or “perfectly good”… We have a sofa in our basement that I don’t like, she doesn’t like, it really doesn’t work for us, but friends were moving and they were just going to throw it away and it’s only a year old and we need some type of seating…

Speaking of sofas, was it you who posted about the pink-striped sofa that you were wanting to replace? Were you ever able to find something?

You're trying to force a use. Just get rid of them.

If not, I agree there are creative ways to use it, but again... I have such a visceral reaction to keeping stuff for the sake of keeping it. Maybe because my dad (and my wife too) do this far too often.

Although, funny story, the other day I asked my dad if he had any extra staple gun cartridges and he gave me some. The box was from the 1970s! LOL

I've seen woodworking channels on youtube create beautiful furniture out of old pallets.
