If I had room, I'd be checking this one out. Back on PianoWorld, I remember a couple of people enthusing about Decker Brothers pianos. Here's a 7 footer that sounds like it might be in decent shape and a decent price. alt text

Hard to believe you could get a decent 7’ grand for that price. If it sounds like a decent 7’ grand then the seller is giving it away.

      Education is extremely important.

It's leaning to the right, maybe you could put a telephone book under the right leg.

Where is it and what's the price.

And, no sostenuto pedal, so playing Ponce is a non-starter.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

It's in Martinsville, IN - and the price is flexible though they're asking $1500. It was supposedly rebuilt in the 70s or so. Larry was one of the people who spoke highly of the piano. I've never played one, but I remember folks saying they were very well built.

People are giving away acoustic pianos - because the price of moving them exceeds a reasonable sale price. I saw an ad this morning for someone giving away a Petrof grand that was used by his mother - so long as it wasn't going to a dealer or someone for resale. A physician friend of my wife offered a conservatory series Yamaha for free - wanted to see it go to a good home. There's bargains out there.
