        Amazing story. Somewhat like the story of Louis Zamperini, in that they lived through hell and yet were able to forgive.

          That's a remarkable book too ("Unbroken").

          IIRC, one of the airmen on the Doolittle raid went on to become a clergyman who ended up in post-war Japan, having been tortured by the Japanese after his capture.
