Hey, Jon. Is it permissible to tell what you do in these trips overseas? Curious minds want to know.
If you can't talk about it, that's okay. I'll just suffer in silence.
Thanks in advance.

He could tell us, but then would have to kill us. Jon, please put your tales of travel in a spoiler tag. I promise I won’t read. I want to live.

Just plain tourism. Walk around some interesting neighborhoods, visit some museums. Took a cable car into the slummier areas up the mountainsides. Relaxed in the back yard of the villa I rented. Lots of nice meals.
We’ve been in Medellin since Saturday morning. Today we fly to Bogotá until Sunday. I wanted more days here because the weather is nicer and I wanted to acclimate to the altitude here (5k ft) before going to Bogotá (8,600 ft).

Medellin has lovely weather year round. It’s only about 400mi from the equator but because of the altitude it’s not scorching hot.
High temps are 80 or so all year. Lows are low 60s. When you wake up and go to bed it’s cool outside.
Bogotá is even closer to the equator (300mi) but due to altitude high temps are in the upper 60s all year round. Lows in the 40s. Jacket weather most of the day.

So...who are you traveling with, Jon? :devilhorns: (Yes, I still use emoji short code from the OCR days)
Cool to hear about the climate. Sounds terrific. How's humidity? I look forward to traveling a lot if I can hopefully remain healthy by the time the kids are old enough (or even graduated). I really enjoy it.
Also, be safe. The internet is full of videos of people getting mugged in Columbia...but usually if it's 2am and you're walking home from a bar. So you should be ok.
