This is about day 14 of my green tea habit: I've been drinking 5-6 cups a day. ("Cup" being about 7 oz of good stuff: 12g of tea, brewed for 10-15 sec at a time.)
I've lost about 6 pounds (same eating habits), my blood pressure's gone down from about 145/90 to 125/85, my heart rate's down to about 54 bpm, and I'm sleeping a lot better in terms of quality and duration. Also the theanine's making me feel pretty good generally throughout the day.
Seems to be a plus overall.

Might have to give that a shot given I like green tea.

I've tried a lot of different ones so far. Spent a stupid amount on experimentation.
I've settled on Davidson's: not stupid-good quality, but still very good, affordable, and on Amazon. Their gunpowder green is about the most inexpensive and contains an assload of theanine. (With this kind I've also learned that getting "tea drunk" is definitely a thing.) I'm using their dragonwell now, which is a little pricier but still doesn't break the bank.

How’s the caffeine compare to coffee?

Either that, or you've contracted HIV. I've heard that can happen with people overdosing on artisan teas.
