      I'm just trying to figure out who lies more, Santos or Biden.

      At least both feel at home in the Liar's Capitol.

        It's not just a question of amount. It's a question of duration. Santos has gotten a lot done in a short time. Biden's had more than half a century to build his resume.

        Bless their hearts.

        The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

          In some perverse way I’m starting respect Santos for his brazen stick to itivness.

            Some humans are born without capacity for shame. So I don’t think he has to try very hard to accomplish this.

            Education is extremely important.

              Yeah, not with you on this one. Santos lives in an alternate reality rivaled only by Trump's it seems. What I would say to Santos: Romney wasn't telling you to shut up and go to the back of the room as if it was some sort of privilege play... he was saying you're an asshole for lying your way into Congress.

                Lots of assholes throughout history have held their ground against convention. Is he an asshole? Certainly. But the drive for advantage is very strong in us primates.

                    The way he responded to Romney by playing the gay minority card indicates he'd be a lot happier in the Democratic Party. As indeed would Romney, some might say.

                      @Doctor-Phibes

                      Maybe specifically on the gay card yes, but victimhood culture has made large inroads into both parties.

                      MAGA could fairly be called the intersection of populism and grievance.

                      You were warned.

                        No argument from me there.

                        Maybe self-pity will be what does America in. My dad always said it was the most unattractive emotion.
