Under the Radar

I've seen a couple and that's it...

Interesting list.
My thoughts:
Dredd: If you like Stallone in a sci-fi with lots of special effects and Stallone's (usual) over-acting ("I AM the law!"), you might enjoy. I gave up after about 20 min.
Sunshine: Pretty standard Sci-Fi stuff, but engaging. Nothing remarkable, but very watchable.
Primer: I watched it, and said, "What the actual fuck is going on here?" I need to revisit and pay close attention. Difficult to follow and understand, but it has quite a following.
Moon: A masterpiece. Directed by Ducan Jones (David Bowie's son). It's small, intimate and scary. The only off-putting part was Kevin Spacey's voice as the computer - a nod to HAL, of course. Seek this one out. Def worth the effort.

I'm a big fan of The Fountain, but it's not for everyone. What's funny is it was directed by Darren Aronofsky (he's made some pretty iconic films, even if he's not well known by everyone), and I went to a screening of The Fountain in which he was in the audience. Afterwards he got up and spoke and it was clear most of the audience didn't "get" the film the way he wanted. Kind of awkward, but also...it's kind of what makes the movie special, it's not terribly clear to each person what it means, but it's BEAUTIFULLY done, nonetheless.
I liked Sunshine and Moon, too.
Idiocracy I haven't seen in 15 years but it becomes more and more accurate of a prediction of our future, SAD!

Wrong Dredd. That's Urban in the title roll and the better (and more violent) of the two films.
I agree about Moon.

Ah, I scrolled through this guys take on that one. My bad.
But, being better than "Judge Dread" is not a difficult thing.

If it's on one of your streaming services, que it up. It's violent and the plot line is very different from the Stallone effort. It ain't the best, but it's decent.
IMDB gives it a 7.1
