Yeah, but they might have made the 55 yarder too.

I just wish they get the fucking camera off Ossai.

The PI on Hilton was BS as was the intentional grounding call. Burrow was further outside of the tackle than he was on earlier throws that weren’t called and Perine was in the area. And neither of those compare with the lost play that never happened…

But the fault really lies with the offensive play calling. The Bengals were too pass happy. They needed to run the ball more, especially with the heavy pursuit by the front four.

I didn’t mind the grounding call but I did mind when Mahomes didn’t get called for an identical play a couple later. The clock thing was heinous.

That was the worst stretch of officiating I have seen.

In addition to the calls made, can we discuss the ones that weren’t called? Your Defensive End was clearly held on the last run by Maholmes. He wouldn’t have had that hole without that hold.

As I mentioned, Joe had 2 more probable grounding incidents that weren't called. Maholmes had several. All were borderline. If you see they aren't calling them, then you figure that's the way they are officiating today and you adjust. The same with the defensive hold that extended the Chiefs drive earlier AND the DPI on Hilton was absolute garbage.

Since incorporating automatic reviews on potential scoring plays and turnovers as well as having the league initiate some reviews from New York, when was the last time you saw 3 coaches challenges? Yet there they were, and two were upheld. Very poor job officiating.

But the Bengals still ultimately have to take the blame themselves. They had 2 opportunities for drives to basically end the game.

I wonder if either sides' fans are appreciating today the human officiating error that went into yesterday's results. My guess is that it blunts the thrill of the win, and magnifies the pain of the loss.

Another that’s bugged me the whole day. The 3rd down play where the Chiefs receiver stretched the ball then pulled it back. That’s not a goal line. The play doesn’t end when the ball crosses and that’s not forward progress. If the defender pulled him or the ball back, that could be called forward progress, but this was the receive voluntarily pulling the ball back. It’s similar to a receiver or RB giving ground then getting tackled.

If you noted forward progress as being the farthest forward the ball was for an instant on a play, then there would never be a 1-2 yard loss.

Me too, especially when it was a challenge. I didn’t think he made it, or at least I didn’t see conclusive evidence.
