@brenda - great stories! I’ve really enjoyed the dress up in costume part of this whole thing, and the pretending and pantomiming, it’s a little like being a kid again. Hoping to get to do it again when they film the second season next year.

I just watched the second episode - didn’t like it quite as much as the first. Not sure when the next city scenes will show up - perhaps not for another couple of episodes.

Kings of Pain season 2. Especially like the episodes with Orange Baboon Tarantula and Horrid Assassin Bug. Season 1 hilight was the Giant Asian Centipede.

        Entertaining and macabre science.

        Especially designed for teenage males.

        Highly recommended.

        Elbows up!

Glass Onion a Knives Out Mystery

          Netflix

It was a fun movie to watch.

It reminded me of a Family Guy episode. 😆

National Treasure. The TV series spin-off, not the Nicholas Cage movie.

            Utter crap.

We watched Glass Onion - I liked it. Also watching “The Recruit” - like that a lot too.

I recently watched the Netflix documentary "Don't pick up the phone". It's about the string of phone calls placed to fast food places where the caller pretended to be a cop and had employees do salacious things in the guise of police strip searches. Nobody knows how many of these calls happened. Some people went to prison for what they were convinced to do. That's tough. So they were gullible, but it's such a novel situation that few could be prepared for. I would not convict if I were on a jury. It's not a crime to be stupid. Appropriately, the documentary brings up the famous psychological study where normal participants were convinced to shock random people almost to death (or so the participants thought).

                Education is extremely important.

"The Menu" on HBO Max is a pretty decent dark comedy thriller.

I saw a story about cop shows, and it cited "True Detective" as being a masterpiece (at least the1st season). So, I'm revisiting that.

I watched the 1st episode this morning. Woody Harrelson, as whack as he can be, is a fabulous actor. And McConaughey is just as good. Watching the subtle, almost imperceptible things these guys do is a delight. It reminds me of the director of "Foyle's War" talking about the star, Michael Kitchen, "Kitchen can do with one look of his eye what would take 10 pages of dialog to convey."

                        Yeah, it's that good.

                          "True Detective..."

The first season had a good, but somewhat unsatisfying ending. There was a lot o philosophizing on the part of McCaunghey's character that was fun. It was dark, disturbing, and brilliantly shot.

This scene was all shot in one take. Almost 5 minutes of nonstop action, with no cuts...

                          Link to video

Second season stars Colin Ferrell, Amy McAdam, Vince Vaughan, Kelly Reilly (Beth from Yellowstone) and I guy I can't remember. It twists itself into too many plots, too many irrelevant characters. This is a story that could be told in 4 episodes, but is taking 8. Giving up after four.

Binging through the first half of season 5 of Yellowstone. Actually enjoying quite a bit. I was skeptical of the political turn that it could have taken, but it seems to be working.

Nice backstory on Rip (and Beth).

Jamie becomes more of a snake, if that's possible.

                            Fun

We're watching 'Three Pines' on Amazon Prime. Decent detective show, set in Quebec, starring Alfred Molina - who's even less Canadian than I am. It's fun, probably not particularly realistic. The last episode was set in a country hotel, and not one of the suspects asked for his lawyer to be present. But who cares?

That's not true, the douche brother demanded it but then forgot about it after he tried to, y'know...

Yes, you're right. He asked for a lawyer, but then just carried on talking to the police for about 5 minutes.

I thought it was quite funny how closely he resembled Donald Trump Jnr.

                                          Probably not a coincidence. 😄

                                          Please love yourself.
