@Jolly said in What will the Speaker vote look like?:
Y'all do realise that 90% of the country doesn't know this is happening or doesn't care...
That is probably true. Heck, I didn't care until about yesterday when I started to google what this was all about.

I am guess that the moderate Republican and moderate Democrat have more in common with each other than the moderate Republican and extreme Republican.
No reason it would not work, but like @jon said, if they agreed, then probably a primary by an extreme member

Saw this on FB.
Kevin McCarthy has been rejected almost as many times as Lauren Boebert failed the GED.

Boebert only took the GED once.

Probably had to promise to leave the Capitol doors unlocked after every Dem presidential victory.

That’s very good.

Lots of cheering during the 14th vote roll call. I’d imagine that means there are key votes flipped. Gaetz might be waiting until the end for an attention-seeking final vote.

If McCarthy offered to lower the age of consent, do you think he'd be a shoe in?

Looks like they were one “present” vote short. Drama on the house floor, someone had to be held back while talking to Gaetz and ilk.

Sucks. Someone flipped. A rep missed the birth of their child, others had funerals missed, or family members with strokes. Lots given up to attend what was supposed to be the last vote!
