Sigh. I remember when we considered ourselves the biker bar of the internet.

Currently on drugs that do not permit alcohol consumption.

We had plans to have a two of our close friends over for the evening to share a bottle of 81 Chateau Lafite. It's the last bottle of an auction lot we won 19 years ago now.

It would have marked the 20th year since we started the tradition of sharing a bottle of Lafite, after my father died. He loved this wine and gave us a bottle of 1987 Lafite for a house warming gift.

When we returned home from his funeral, I looked at that bottle on the shelf in the piano room, and decided we were not going to wait to drink it.

We enjoyed the wine so much we made it yearly tradition for about 10 years in row. We needed more Lafite but we wanted it on the cheap. So we went to auction sites and got lucky a few times.

The bottle that remains was purchased for $125. Today the value of it is around $1,100.00. We're drinking it anyway. 🤪

So we have delayed the visit until I am done with the prescription.
