Here's where I stopped reading the voxplanation:
" It takes five justices to make a majority that can do literally anything they want to US law."
Actually, that's not true. HERE's where I stopped reading:
"Supreme Court’s decision eliminating the constitutional right to an abortion."
The same asshats who claim there is no right to bear arms because "muskets" claim that abortion is in the Constitution.

She needs to wait for a Republican President and Senate.
For the good of the country.
Seriously.
The more conservative court has not gone ape-shit. Many of their rulings have been about returning power to the states and state legislatures. Methinks that is a good thing and the way it should be.

Definitely. While I'm biased, one could argue it's usually better to err on the side of conservative rulings.

Isn't it such a weird coincidence that conservatives all think conservatives judges are better and liberals all think liberal justices are better.

The timing of the Ginsberg death through the appointment of Barrett really was remarkable. I mean just another couple of weeks and it would have been dramatically different..
I also wonder about what Stephens would have done if Ginsberg was still there. Barrett provided him cover.

I posted next door about a month ago that Sotomayor should retire given her age and obesity.

Considering only politics, if she's going to retire, she has to do so in the next 24 months. I've read that the GOP has an easy path to Senate control in the 2024 elections. Even if the Democrats hold the WH, confirmation will be a challenge for any Dem-appointed candidate.

Speaking of which, I think demographic tables would give Thomas something approaching a 20% chance of mortality during this next Congress.
