I'm a little surprised how deep these sequels and series go.

I think I'm behind the Marvel series by a good 20 films.

I guess a smaller but engaged audience base is more profitable than a new film idea competing for the attention of a larger potential audience.

I'd be upset if TV weren't so good these days.

We had all the original Marvel comic books. At a younger age i would have killed for movies like this. Now not so much.

Emancipation is getting crushed by bad reviews.

Here’s the thing, they aren’t generally the same thing as regular sequels. They really are very much like chapters of a much larger story…

Same here. I saw Iron Man but few others, maybe no others? I always thought the Tobey McGuire “Spiderman” in 2002 was the first since it basically kicked off the Hollywood obsession with blockbuster comic book movies, but just read that it’s not considered part of the MCU since it was done by a different studio.

Here’s a list in release vs chrono order. One day I’ll get around to watching them. They look fun and I can see why kids these days don’t know much else since they’ve dominated the box office for 15 years.

@89th I have been under the impression that Edward Norton's Hulk movie predates the Iron Man movie (going by release dates) by quite a bit. Guess that's wrong. :man-shrugging:

Yes, I watched all those movies, and they are fun. I believes they are all available on Disney+ so should be easy (and economical) to access if you want to go through all of them.

Oh, access is no problem. Free time, is the problem.

Guardians 1 is my all time favorite comic movie. Though I wouldn’t have known it was a comic movie. Also my favorite use of music in a movie. Good to see Gunn survived the attempt to cancel him over some trolling he did when he was a young anonymous douche. Decency and common sense is not yet entirely dead.

                  Education is extremely important.

I've seen them all, except for Black Widow.

For sheer entertainment, Guardians is my favorite.
