Power Outage in Moore County, NC

I've only skimmed the news on this, but it seems someone shot up a power substation which knocked out power for like 40,000 residents. Some were saying phone lines, cell towers, can't call 911, had to drive miles to even find out what was going on. Who knows how true or dramatic that is.

Reminds me of the 60 Minutes type stories that highlight how fragile our grid is. Not that you can do much for these lone wolf actions.

That being said, the drama percolating now is it may have been this lady (see link below) who was protesting a drag show, but she's buddies with the sheriff, and overall seems to post way too much on social media, including hinting that she knows why the power went out, after the attack happened.

I have spent many evenings in restaurants on the same block as that theater. I’m very, very surprised they would host a drag show.
