    Ok it’s Poland v Argentina but so many Nazis went there ….

    Anyway exciting game, despite being scoreless still. Messi missed a penalty shot.

      Great save against Messi's PK shot. I heard Messi is coming to the US to play football soccer, which is what Beckham and other greats have done as they get old.

        I mentioned the blond Brazilian bartender in your other thread. Karla and I were trying to figure out her accent for the life of us. Beautiful German looking young lady, but her accent was most definitely not German or Western European. Karla was thinking South African and I was thinking Turkey. We were shocked for a minute when she said Brazil. I generally don’t think of blond Germanic women when thinking of South America, but the established German colonies in Argentina, Peru and Brazil were quite large and then you think of all of the Nazis that ran to South America…

          @LuFins-Dad

          There’s a state in the south of Brazil called Rio Grande do Sul which was a destination for Germans after the war.

          When my Portuguese was at its peak, I actually had a cab driver ask me if I was from there after talking to me for 20m or so.

          I was very flattered that he thought i was a native speaker.

            I met a guy in Brazil. He was native Brasil but had a German name and looked very German. My first thought was that he was some ancestor of a Nazi. LOL

              Yeah, I’ve met a few time travelers myself…
