I would suggest putting the piano just inside the patio door. Great light, something to look at as you effortlessly suck at playing Rach 3, good space, etc.
Sorry to hear of the separation. It's usually a long road to get there, and likely not a fun one.

Except maybe consider the sun's activity through the 24-hour cycle and the seasons, and whether you might sometimes need shade. And if so, determine what type of shade and fixtures, etc and install all that before you bring in the piano.
Great light is great until it's too great. You might wind up with whole hours when you can't play.
