    A friend just Facebooked this

    His comments

Here’s what not to do,this plane just crashed at Gaithersburg on an IFR approach. The approach plate says 300 ft ceiling and One mile visibility.Right now its 200 ft and one and a quarter miles. The plane crashed 1.3 statuate miles from the runway.Don’t go below mins ever.Ever.Ever.

The people are alive and still in the plane.

I’m not saying that something else didn’t happen like engine failure.I just have to put that out there.I wasn’t there.

      Glad they're safe

      My Friend
Commenter 1 well they are in 100,000 volt power lines and 100 ft in the air.I’m not sure that I would call that safe.

      My Friend
If that plane slips off of there.

        Still alive? That is amazing.

@Copper That person is dumb. I also examined their flight path (via ADSB data) as well as Google Earth, they are looking at the wrong tower, there's another one just slightly south that they hit, that are lined up with the runway a bit more.

I'll see if I can take a screenshot in a sec.

I believe they hit the tower circled in black, not the one in red.

That would make a lot more sense

That being said, I might be the one who is dumb. The little yellow line does show a turn towards the left right before the crash.
