@Jolly said in No Seattle Thread?:
And they're hungry...

"The activist tweeted Wednesday that CHAZ had invited homeless people into the zone, who promptly stole all of their food."
Might be time to set up a perimeter, one block from them, and starve them out.

That's hilarious. The homeless copped their grub.

Well, as usual, it's not the peaceful demonstration that the liberal media is claiming it to be, and it's not the Thunderdome that the conservative media is claiming it to be.

If there was ever a time to let something play out it is now. The police should NOT intervene.

No, but the water and sewer department might help nature take its course.

It's a 6-7 block area.
The gov. pretended he knew nothing about it, when asked yesterday.I agree, leave it alone. Any use of force in such a stupid area would backlash, again.
Only thing that might shake some sense into people, is if they decide to burn down the area. But, like roaches, they will scatter, then scurry back to wherever they came from. -

I agree. Let them out, but don't let anyone in. This will melt away when they start having to starve in their own filth.

I am reminded of how the Romans surrounded Greek city-states.
Seriously let the people of Seattle come up with a solution and ask for help if they need it. It’s our first experiment in what the revolution has been demanding and we should let them have their way. Our only intervention should be 911 call response and obviously a fire if whoever is in charge gives the fire department permission to enter.

Like Paris under the Commune.
Probably end the same way.

The "protestors" have put up barricades around the "Autonomous Zone" to keep people out.
In Portland, the mayor is putting up a plywood wall around City Hall.
Ain't irony ironical?
Free stuff gets taken, and they cry about it.
Barriers to keep people out.
ETA: Would gated communities qualify as "autonomous zones?"

And again, is it worth even mentioning the inconsolable outrage of the progressives, both media and rank and file individuals, if some right-leaning group was responsible for something like this? It would be a TDS-gasm like never before seen.

I sure hope the mayor is using that fine, pacific northwest plywood.
And some big, pacific northwest 4X4's.

That would be very bad.
In that 6-7 block area, is the highest concentration of doctors, lawyers, IT specialists, etc., in the whole country. Probably some college science professors as well. Those people are the backbone of our society, and you want to cut internet access? Shame. One of them did state, "our tax money pays for this" referring to the police precinct they commandeered.
I couldn't tell if he was a doctor, lawyer, IT specialist, or college professor. Although as a motorcycle guy, I did like his leather jacket. It had that well-worn look. Nothing more embarrassing than a leather jacket that looks new. You can't be a tough guy with a new leather jacket, won't work.
