He's a sellout by definition (not worth discussing alternative theories), and if you speak of his life, or his history, you run the risk of humanizing him. Anybody engaging in public discussions of the man must be careful to make an unambiguous point that the man is Evil, full stop.
Those are literally the terms these people speak of Thomas in.

Since the "oral" statements before the Supreme Court are so short (maybe 1(?) hour for each side), I am wondering if they really change anybodies mind.

Sorry, about that.
But at the appellate level, most of the arguments are made on paper by filing briefs, rather than in oral arguments. So, you may have a point there.
