Neg or pos? My blood is like gold, I'm a universal donor.

          I’m O+. I’m only half universal.

Well at least Horace can donate blood to George as he nears respiratory failure.

A lead SNP was also identified on chromosome 9 at the ABO blood group locus, and further analysis showed that A-positive participants were at a 45% increased for respiratory failure, while individuals with blood group O were at a 35% decreased risk for respiratory failure.

I really should donate more. Back when I exercised every day my excuse was that it would keep me from doing that for a couple days. But now I don't have any excuse.

Blood type now deemed not a factor says two studies, Mass Gen and Columbia Presbyterian.

                                    Article in NYT.

That took a long time given the number of cases. Doesn’t give me a warm feeling about reliability of everything we read.
