I’m a little confused about the ketchup thing. It’s been my experience that our ketchup tastes like crap compared Europe…

no i think heinz still rules the world (although admittedly the original henry heinz's parents were bavarian) although you will find that french fries (chips, for phibes sake) are eaten with mayo and not ketchup in europe

be that as it may, ketchup...and guns, make america great (again)

I redd the above a few seconds after I woke up. For a split second my brain translated bavarian as someone who is varian but they go both ways.

I think I'm spending too much time in here. 😕

Heinz? I think you mean Acrisure Tomato Sauce, now.

You know that saying "youth is wasted on the young"

I kinda feel the same thing about many Americans. This place is fucking awesome... doesn't have to be perfect.

I'll allow there are far worse places. But don't you fucking tell me that our drip coffee isn't obscene, I damn well know it is.

Right now I'm on a whale watching boat in Anacortes.

We are heading inwards later today and then towards Yellowstone.

                        Buffalo meat is good.

Just sayin', in case you might could smuggle one through in your luggage.

Come up to Alberta. Bison are no longer classified as wild animals. You can pay your $$$$ and shoot one - the outfitter will supply the weapon and ammo. You can keep the meat and hide for an extra charge. They call it the Alberta Advantage.

Guys, I'm no hunter, and I won't humiliate myself by letting somebody else basically hold the gun while I pull the trigger 🙂

You can go out there with a stick and a string...

Guys, I don't hunt as much as I used to...Getting to old to climb trees at 0530 in the dark. But geez, that picture brings back memories. It's just a stock photo, but I can just about guarantee that photo was taken in Tensas or Madison Parish. I've waded through that palmetto many a time.

Give you a head's up...As you're following your Bright Eyes to your stand way before daylight, mind that you occasionally shine the palmetto with your light. Watch for eyes set about two fingers apart, shining in the palmetto. Copperheads like to hunt at night and those suckers are bad about laying up in the fronds. If you brush one, it's a good way to get bit...Tends to ruin your hunt.

The rattlers and cottonmouths are not as big of a problem, at least not when I was bowhunting up there. They're on the ground and you're wearing snake leggings in the early part of bowseason. I've never been hit, but my buddy had a cottonmouth try to bite him one morning. Good thing the leggings did their job.
