The Under-Thirties

Very high participation rate for that group (about 50%) last presidential election. Probably got Brandon elected. Now, one of the groups with the most buyer's remorse over the current occupant of the Whitehouse.
Will the under-thirty crowd revert back to their historic low participation rates in 2024?

Almost certainly. Sorry to disappoint but most of them voted for Brandon because they hate Trump more. If Trump runs, they might return. If they don't, more likely they'll stay home.

Can they carry hate that long? Especially if the economy is not doing as well as under Trump?

Yes they absolutely can.
A lot of people still blame Trump for his role in and reaction to Jan 6. You might not like that, but that doesn't mean it'll go away.

Yes, in the Beltway they do. I think for most of the rest of the country, January 6th is way down their list of priorities or even concerns.

"Do we really need another 4 years of that prick?". I hear that quite a bit.
The next election is the GOP's to lose. Why pick the orange knobhead?

Because TDS goes both ways.

More than two years is a long time and certain issues (economy for example), people have short memories.
I agree with @Doctor-Phibes At the moment, the only way President Biden would be reelected is if he is running against President Trump.

Me too.
Or, are we not talking about our wives?

They did not vote FOR Biden, but against Trump. The hate was ginned up for them.
Indeed. Remember the summer of 2020, all facts aside, was one that really amped up the frustration level of 18-34 year olds, because.... protest!
Also, keep in mind the economy is likely to be out of a recession and heading upwards 2 years from now, especially if the GOP can pick up some seats this fall. So I don't think folks in 2 years will think of Trump as an economic hero and Biden as an economic zero. Who knows what crisis will shape 2024... maybe China?

25 years this October....I honestly don't know how she's made it this long.

Indeed. However, it's not going to be Biden. Especially if it looks like it will be Trump.

Don't think your economic turn-around will be quite that quick.
