@jon-nyc fascinating.
However, as a self-proclaimed "scientist" I question this statement in his first tweet:
"The appalling killing of George Floyd and video after video after video of police brutality cements the elemental rightness of the Black Lives Matter cause. "

His first tweet was the scariest.

I viewed that as mere table stakes to be taken seriously, since he was about to attribute 10 to 100 deaths a day to the protests, disproportionately in black communities.

My concern is that it was necessary.

I notice you make this lemmings comment a few times now. What is it about lemmings that make you post something like this many times over?

Sorry, might’ve been overkill. By lemmings, they are used as a joke when “they just follow the group, even if off a cliff”...so I’m referring to the many individuals (including some of my friends, family, and now corporations) who blindly follow the masses on trendy topics such as declaring their “valuing of black lives, and standing against injustice”. My thought...was this not the case before? Isn’t this what we all think already?

But in this case, these lemmings might literally die because of putting themselves in harms way with the spread of COVID.
