My wife and I made aeropress everyday for about 8 years, until we got lazy and bought a premium drip machine.

Y'all inspired me to pull it out of storage today.

Not expensive, okay, willing to try it.

How you use it—grind, coffee amount, water amount, brew time—changes everything. Literally everything. I had to try a couple of different methods to get what I wanted. Basically the instructions out of the box were pretty close for me.

It's flexible, but stupidly simple. And cleanup takes about 5 seconds.

      Please love yourself.

I'm sure it's good. And the website says it only takes 3 steps.

        1. Add coffee and water
        2. Stir and brew
        3. Press into mug

        Let's actually count the steps.

        1. Put filter on cap
        2. Twist cap
        3. Place over mug
        4. Grind beans
        5. Add scoop of ground coffee
        6. Shake
        7. Boil water to 175 degrees F
        8. Stir
        9. Add plunger
        10. Push/pause/push
        11. DRINK COFFEE
        12. Remove cap
        13. Push out filter
        14. Rinse with water

        For my one-cup keurig:

        1. Add K-cup
        2. Add water
        3. Place mug
        4. Press button
        5. Throw K-cup away

Yes... it's not as good as your fancy coffee, but see if I care at 5am after being up with kids 🙂

K is good, but we set up the timer on the Mr. Coffee and wake up to a fresh pot.

Is anybody going to give @Aqua-Letifer any shit? The guy belittles coffee drinkers for years and accuses them of being wusses because he drinks some super amped Japanese tea, and next thing you know here he is, drinking coffee….

As far as convenience, it takes 30 seconds to grind some coffee beans and spoon them into the filter. Are we really that lazy?

Where am I supposed to find 30 extra seconds?

                      😄

I can't quite drink tea again. When I recover from being sick, the tea really fucks me up. Like, lose my balance, nod off while sitting up kinda stuff. Gotta stick to coffee for a little bit.

Umm that's only steps 4 and 5 of the 14 step process. Clearly you can tell I can't spend an extra few minutes, I am so busy with work and with writing this post.

I had one once. Wasn't keen on it. Found it to be slightly labor intensive, as I recall. I wouldn't mind trying again. My current favorite, the french press, is also one I had tried and discarded previously.
