Larry (and often Jolly) often suffer from is/ought confusion. Larry assumes that how he thinks the universe should be configured is how the universe is configured.
The right to bear arms shall not be infringed.
Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech.
And yet…. Time place and manner restrictions are allowed in each case.

And the problem with some people is that they can stare at their navel long enough to confuse the rule and the exceptions.
Seriously, the Constitution works as well as it does, because it fairly simple and it errs on the side of federal government restriction.
We'd be better off and more free, if we just quit ceding power to the feds.

LOLGTFO…
Turley commented that that will be problematic, since SCOTUS just ruled that abortion is a matter for the states to decide.

They didn’t rule out federal legislation but Biden’s idea is stupid anyway.

Not obviously true.
Perhaps the only reason you’re here is because your mom did decide to abort your older sibling.
Lots of people abort a pregnancy when young and go on to have kids when they’re older. In many cases they wouldn’t have the later kid(s) if they had had the earlier one(s).

Bro what the hell are you doing even entertaining this. This is like 5 Duning-Kruger incompetency curves, all in constructive interference with one another, creating the mythical idiocy superwave. Rare, fleeting, almost too powerful to believe.

Nah, very unlikely. Not likely due to age, and anyway, by accounts, it didn't happen.

True.
Also common for adoptees to have younger half-siblings they never learn about.

I didn’t mean literally you. I meant simply to point out that aborting X pregnancies doesn’t result in X fewer people on net.

@jon-nyc I read an article a few days ago that indicates a surprising number of abortions occur after child 1 was born…

I can see that use case also.
I’m thinking more about the girl who had the abortion in college or grad school and goes on the have kids in her 30s.

It’s not just a use case, it’s the majority.

"Look, relax everyone! If we remove the filibuster for abortion and voting rights legislation, there's no way this move can backfire on us if and when the GOP wins back a Senate majority!"

The blow dealt by the US Supreme Court limiting access to safe abortions has shone a light on the situation in Australia as protesters take to the streets in solidarity.
Thousands of people have already turned up at marches in Brisbane and Adelaide, and big numbers are expected in Melbourne and Sydney on Saturday.
Supporters are also expected to voice discontent in Perth, Hobart, Wollongong and Rockhampton on Saturday, and in Launceston on Sunday.
'Mind your own uterus', 'abortion is healthcare' and 'no uterus, no opinion' were among the messages written on placards.
The movement has been sparked by the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade that has seen 27 US states move toward either banning or threatening to criminalise abortions.
While much of the attention is on America, there is still work to be done on abortion access at home, contraception and safe abortion providers, MSI Australia says.
'The events taking place in the US are devastating for human rights. Fortunately, we are not at risk of having abortion bans in Australia but we do need increased access and equity to abortion care services,' MSI managing director Jamal Hakim says.
Frontline health worker Cecilia Judge addressed the protestors gathered on the steps of the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne.
'Whenever abortion is presented as a debate anywhere, it can increase the shame, stigma, and for some of the people I work with, the grief of accessing abortion care,' she said.
'Abortion is not a debate, abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a human right.'
Sex history researcher and TikTok influencer Esme James urged residents to stand together.
Australian laws:
What? It's not consistent across the nation? There are restrictions?
Who'da thunk it?
And Tasmania? OMG!
