Assuming the world decides to stay on the rails for a bit, I'm turning 40 soon. I intend to make an exorbitant and, frankly, stupid purchase.

      Ideas I've been kicking around:

      • hydrofoil paddleboard
      • a flemish giant
      • electric longboard
      • rollerskis
      • an old ambulance for a van conversion
      • a zorb

      Any suggestions?

You want to build an outdoor recirculating fountain with a base of river rock ( 1,400 pounds), a floor of cut bluestone over 4 feet square (360 pounds), a 500 pound pedestal, a first tier of blue stone 2'x2' (90 pounds), a spacer of concrete that's hollow and still weighs 40 pounds, another tier of bluestone 18"x18" (50 pounds), and a detailed concrete topper that weighs about 90 pounds. Build a granite stone paver wall three layers high around the bluestone base using about 72 stones weighing an average of 35 pounds each ( 2,520 pounds).

Don't forget the rubber liner, and all the plumbing gear of pipes, reservoir container, float, etc. All together, those will be at least 250 pounds.

This is a gift that you will enjoy for years.

An old ambulance sounds pretty cool to me.

          Education is extremely important.

Get the zorb. Not only does it look like oodles of fun, but the next time you go into the forest you could zorb, and it would protect you if the aliens hurl another missile at your head.

That is logic I can't argue with.

Well, you could, but what would be the point?

Maybe add to it a pimped out bow tie.

I just turned 40 last month. 0/5 stars, would not recommend.

Was it turning 40 or having a very young kiddo that made things challenging? It could be the combo of 40 plus 1.

Had to look up a couple of what you listed.

                            Zorb seems pretty cool

I have roller skied before. Lots of fun. So, since I have tried it, I would recommend it.
