Another day, another market crash.

This reminds me, when will financial reports stop saying "the DOW dropped 800 points" where only the percentage matters. So I appreciate your post. Give me the percentage drop, stop telling me the number of points.
The market is looking for a bottom. I'd imagine it's an S&P around 3,750 if we even get there. That being said, I'd imagine we could bounce around the low 4,000s for a long while (12-24 months) before we start to see the next slower but steady increase.

Not terribly worried. There is always an awful lot of energy and activity going into the economy that will, over time, cause it to rebound.
Besides, in almost three years retired now we have not needed to take anything out of our investments. I don't anticipate doing so until RMD hits.

Money’s just something you need in case you don’t die tomorrow.
In the last 10 years I have very firmly developed the habit of only checking my portfolio month end.

You're checking yours more than I check mine. I check every 90 days. I do not plan on touching anything until RMD time.

Indexes are down about 10% in the last three trading days. That's a quick correction, huh. I'm in the buying mood. Too bad I'm not in the having free cash to buy mood.

How committed are you? Considered buying on margin? Maybe take out a (second) mortgage? ;)

Maybe I'll keep an eye on gold and silver prices and shift some assets from those to stocks if this keeps up. Too bad metals don't hold up their end of the bargain in these market crashes. They're supposed to go up, but they never do.

Just bought some crypto too
You're brave. Only one I would consider buying is bitcoin. I've been very lightly deploying my year-end funds from last year.
Feels like I could maybe start going in heavier now.... marketing timing is a fool's errand, but I can't help myself.

Not trying to time the market. I ask myself, will Bitcoin and Eth be significantly higher in 5, 10, or 20 years? My gut says yes…crypto (and blockchain) is here to stay in one format or another. So when the price drops now, it just means a bigger discount, I hope, on future earnings.

Good time to buy. Just bought some crypto too. I'm in it for the long run.
