Prager Speaks
-
My problem with Prager is that there isn't a single topic of conversation in which he doesn't take the position that:
- The not-Right side thinks they're being reasonable, but they're not, and
- We on the Right have the better, more objective answer.
Sometimes he sprinkles in a little anger and hostility, too. But every response has at least those two.
If someone told him that lefties believe the earth revolves around the sun, he'd laugh and say that's because the left hates the STEM fields and don't understand that Ptolemy solved this problem centuries ago.

That's true, but on the other hand, isn't that a mistake most people make? Who thinks of himself as irrational?

Prager's intelligent enough that I can reasonably expect him to understand that our political system relies on tension between two parties. But he doesn't have the EQ to ever own up to this, or the Right's shortcomings. What those shortcomings are can be debated, but his position that the Right always has all the answers is ridiculous.
He makes some good points, but I can get those elsewhere, from people who aren't conservative propagandists. So I will and I'll continue to ignore his tirades. His bullshit doesn't help.

He probably picks his spots, in areas he believes the right is rational and the left is not.
One of the main premises of his piece is that the left believes this shooter was mainstream-right-adjacent. Which, they do. Just ask them.

I've never heard him say otherwise about anything ever. So until he does, I'm considering him a conservative propagandist.

When people say "The left", do they mean me? Because I consider myself a liberal, but I frequently don't believe what people say I believe.
This guy was obviously an extremist. D'uh.

I'm comfortable classifying the president as a representative of the mainstream left.

Your loss.
The echo chamber is not conducive to retrospection.
