Now, you can tell other people this shit and expect them to believe you, but most of us know what happened...You were going for extra points in that trick sex competition when the tree limb broke.

Darn near killed you and those three gals with you...

A blink of an eye. Be careful out there, Larry. You are not getting any younger. πŸ‘΄

Damn, man! Glad you have recovered. It just takes a hell of a lot longer than it used to!

It's amazing how a fall can affect you.

Back in 2018, I think, we were in Cannon Beach. On the first night we were there, being the age I was, I went to the bathroom at no o'clock in the morning and I sat down.

            I missed (It was pitch-black).

Fell onto my side, and INTO the adjacent bathtub.

Horrible pain in my back for the next 36 hours. I could barely walk. And then, as if by magic (and naproxyn), it was gone. I was really worried that I ruined our vacation.

I was carrying some overly heavy things up the stairs to the attic and recognized that I needed to stop the project as my back was unhappy. I took a break and lay on my back for a bit - stretched - took some meds and called it a day. In the old days, I would have kept at it until I was immobilized. One gets older and begins to recognize limitations that need to be respected.

Was talking with a guy I went to school with last week. He was still swinging a hammer for a living, mostly handyman jobs, but he still would help out on a new house if the money was right. Said he could still put in a good day's work. Planned on working until his FRA, which is around 66 and a half.

He said he had gotten much more careful on the job, as he got older and started thinking about some of the older guys he had worked with...More than one had to hang up physical work after a fall. That's what got the most of them that had to quit, rather than decided to quit.

I remember seeing something about lumber workers have one of the most dangerous jobs in the country.

I wonder how many make it to FRA in that job.

Normally, that means a puddle on the floor, and possibly some wet toes.

So sorry to make fun of your accident, but I'm sure you'll return the favor in the future. πŸ˜‡

I'd rather fall every day for a week than have uncontrollable shakes and not be able to breathe. That was the scariest thing I've ever experienced.

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't break anything!

Glad to see you and that you're on the upward trend. I also was wondering where you had been for a while now.

                                Glad you're better now, Larry.

A few weeks ago, I stubbed my pinky toe, and it hurt for a few days.

                                But I'm better now too.
