This got me thinking, what is school like these days with phones? Is there a faint ringing sound (or vibration) coming from random lockers? Are kids glued to their phones during lunch? I'm curious. Yes I'm younger than one or two of you, but I didn't have a cell phone until the last year of college, so I haven't seen them in action in school, really.

In my son’s middle school they have to have them off, even for recess and lunch.

I have a friend who teaches high school math in the city. Kids on their phones “clandestinely” is a constant issue.

Sucks for teachers. I just presumed cell phones were banned (off and in a locker) during school hours, like 7am-3pm or something.
