Depp v Heard

I’ve not really been watching. Any evidence beyond he said she said?

The amputated finger that he alleges she caused?

Johnny Depp testified Wednesday about a brutal fight with ex Amber Heard that left him with a severed fingertip — as gruesome photos of his injuries shown in court elicited “Ews” from the gallery.
The “Edward Scissorhands” star described the alleged 2015 brawl, telling the jury his digit was cut when Heard hurled a handle of vodka his way.

Depp’s a guitar picker. Pretty sure he’s a right handed player. If so, that finger wound appears to be on the ring finger of his left hand, his fretting hand. Not good.
Just saw a piece on TV about the trial. Got me to Google on the two of them. Both are crazier than farts in a mitt - and not in a funny haha way. More like koo-koo in the head crazy.
Not that they’re liars mind you, but I do not think either one of them can tell the difference between reality and the movie set.

Both are crazier than farts in a mitt - and not in a funny haha way. More like koo-koo in the head crazy.Indeed. If Depp is to believed however, she's the dangerous kind of of crazy.
I was talking about this with Mrs. George last night, and having watched a bit of the trial, including clips of Depp's testimony, it looks like this was definitely an abusive relationship (and it probably goes both ways, as you said).
But...I've heard nothing about defamation in his testimony. All he's said so far is that she's a horrible person - violent and abusive. But I've not heard him address the claim that she defamed him. Plaintiff has a long way to go to prove that.
This is like watching a dumpster fire.

Holy balls. Witness >> lawyer.

I really haven’t been paying attention very well, and I really haven’t cared too much, but the general impression I am getting is the while he’s fvcked up, Depp is nowhere near the douchebag we thought he was and Heard is far more frigging insane…

Yeah. Basically they're both nuts, but she's evil and he's simply crazy.

Yeah, I think his mom abused him or something? But it’s sounding like he shouldn’t have lost his movie roles the last few years, and that has cost him millions thanks to the whole #believeallwomen

Holy balls. Witness >> lawyer.
You’re referring to the expert witness, the psychologist who was answering questions on the witness stand, right?
I am not quite sure what you mean by “witness >> lawyer” in this instance. What do you think of the expert witness? What makes you arrive at the expression “witness >> lawyer”? -

Well, #believeallwomen and the nature of the allegations against him perfectly fit the particular brand of evil-crazy Heard suffers from.

She is a really good witness. She answers the questions appropriately, and calls out mischaracterization by plaintiff's attorney. She shuts up when appropriate and lets the legal team fight it out. Under direct examination, she looks at the jury, explaining things. She's engaging and human, smiles.
You can watch her testimony here (with commentary by an attorney as is progresses) here. Start at about 1:30.

Watch this cross examination with comments beginning at about 4:21.
Secondly, I am surprised that Depp hired her. She is a great witness, as I said, and she seems to hold up under cross very well. But, the fact that she is not board-certified, though not a direct problem with respect to her ability, does paint a bit of a negative picture to the jury ("Why aren't you board-certified? Did you fail the exams, or just couldn't be bothered?"). One of the finest surgeons I ever worked with (open heart) never got his boards. He'd never find a spot on a staff today.

I think it is inappropriate to talk about that witness without mentioning how physically attractive she is.
A commentator on Rikeitas feed says that the trial should be decided by a mud-wrestling match between the psychologist and Heard.
